Debian 6 Desktop

Installing the GNOME Environment

Run the following commands to install the GUI from SSH

  1. apt-get install aptitude tasksel
  2. tasksel install gnome-desktop --new-install
  3. apt-get install xrdp

The desktop is installed and you are now able to connect to your Linux VPS via remote desktop
