FTP Username and Password

If you want to update your website with an FTP program (most other website editors use this method) you'll need the following information:

  • FTP Host: yourIPaddress
  • User Name: w12345678
  • Password: your ftp password

 

The specific steps on how to use FTP to update your website depend on which FTP or website editing program you are using. You will have to refer to the documentation for that program to find out how to do this. We also provide some guides for common FTP programs here.

 

Windows(IIS)

You can find your FTP Username and Password through your customer control panel.

  1. Login to your control panel at https://manage.myhosting.com 
  • If you have more than one hosting subscrption, you may need to Select Subscription from the drop down menu before continuing.
  1. Click on the Websites tab
  2. Click on your domain name

  3. Click on Web Hosting Settings

  4. Scroll down to the FTP Configuration section and click on Show Password

  • You can change the FTP username or password by clicking on Edit

 

Linux (Apache)

You can find your FTP Username and Password through your customer control panel.

  1. Login to your control panel at https://manage.myhosting.com 
  • If you have more than one hosting subscrption, you may need to Select Subscription from the drop down menu before continuing.
  1. Click on the Websites tab
  2. Click on your domain name

  • You can change the FTP username or password by clicking on Edit.

 

File Manager

To update your website using your File Manager, please do the following:

  1. Login to your Control Panel at https://manage.myhosting.com 
  • If you have more than one hosting subscription, you may need to Select Subscription from the drop down menu before continuing.
  1. Click on the Websites tab
  2. Click on your domain name
