[Classic] SSL Email Settings

General Settings

You can use the following settings if you require Secure POP3, Secure IMAP4 or Secure SMTP over SSL.

POP3 over SSL Server: securemail.myhosting.com
POP3 over SSL Port:
995 

IMAP4 over SSL Server: securemail.myhosting.com
IMAP4 over SSL Port:
993 

SMTP over SSL Server: securemail.myhosting.com
SMTP over SSL Port:
465 

You can authenticate on these servers using your full email address as the username and corresponding password.

Outlook 2010

You can follow these steps to change your Outlook 2010 email settings if you want to use our Secure servers for sending and receiving email.

  1. Open Outlook 2010 
  2. From the File click on Account Settings and select Account Settings 
  3. You'll then see all of your email accounts listed. Select the account you wish to modify and click Change 
  4. Change the Incoming Mail Server (POP3) to securemail.myhosting.com and change the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) to securemail.myhosting.com

  5. Click on More Settings... 
  6. Select the Advanced tab
  7. There are two check boxes labeled This server requires and encrypted connection (SSL). Check mark both check boxes.
  8. Change the Incoming Server (POP3) to 995. Change the Outgoing Server (SMTP) to 465.

  9. Click OK 
  10. Click Next > and then Finish 

 

Outlook 2003

You can follow these steps to change your Outlook 2003 email settings if you want to use our Secure servers for sending and receiving email.

  1. Open Outlook 2003 
  2. From the Tools menu select Email Accounts... 
  3. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and then click Next > 
  4. You'll then see all of your email accounts listed. Select the account you wish to modify and click Change 
  5. Change the Incoming Mail Server (POP3) to securemail.myhosting.com and change the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) to securemail.myhosting.com

  6. Click on More Settings... 
  7. Select the Advanced tab

Outlook Express

You can follow these steps to change your Outlook Express email settings if you want to use our Secure servers for sending and receiving email.

  1. Open Outlook Express 
  2. From the Tools menu select Accounts... 
  3. You'll then see all of your email accounts listed. Select the account you wish to modify and click Properties 
  4. Select the Servers tab
  5. Change both the Incoming mail (POP3) and Outgoing mail (SMTP) to securemail.myhosting.com

  6. Select the Advanced tab
  7. There are two check boxes labeled This server requires and secure connection (SSL). Check mark both check boxes.
  8. Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) from 25 to 465 
  9. Change the Incoming mail (POP3) from 110 to 995

  11. Click Close
