[Server 2008] Remote Desktop Connection to Windows Virtual Server

To connect to a Windows virtual server you need to run Remote Desktop Connection from your Windows PC.

  • Once you've launched the Remote Desktop Connection client enter the IP address of your virtual server. Your account welcome email that you received when your account was activated will have the IP address listed that you need to use. This information is located in the Remote Desktop Settings portion of the welcome email.

  • Next you need to enter your admin login details to connect. This information is also in your welcome email.

Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) to Windows 2003 Virtual Server

To connect to a Windows virtual server you need to run Remote Desktop Connection from your Windows PC. You can retrieve your login details from within your control panel:

  1. Login at https://manage.myhosting.com 
  2. From the Subscription drop down menu, select your windows 2003 subscription.
  3. Click on Home 
  4. Click on VPS Management 
  5. From here you can see the password for the Administrator (the password could be updated at anytime which wouldn't reflect here). You can also see the IP address from here as well.

  • Once you've launched the Remote Desktop Connection client enter the IP address of your virtual server.
