Now let's learn how to create a MySQL database.
1) Click MySQL Databases.
Let's create a database called mydata.
2) Click Create Database.
The database has been created! We now need to create and add a user to this database.
3) Click Go Back.
4) Scroll down.
5) Enter a new user to be added to your database in the box next to "Username."
6) Click Generate Password.
7) Click Use Password.
8) Make note of the password and click Close.
9) Click Create User.
The new user has been created. Now we have to link this user to our database.
10) Click Go Back.
11) Scroll down.
Check to make sure the correct user and correct database are selected under "Add User to Database."
Note that the username of the hosting account demo1234 has been added to the beginning of both the user and the database, with an "_" underscore between them.
12) Click Submit to add the user to the database.
13) Click the box to assign All Privileges to the user.
14) Click Make Changes.
That's it! The user has been added to the database, which is now ready to use.
This is the end of the tutorial. You can now return to the MySQL database section at any time to set up more databases, add or remove users, or delete databases.
When you change your password here, your cPanel password, your FTP password and your FrontPage password (if applicable) will all be changed.
