How to create custom error pages in cPanel.
This demo assumes you've already logged in to cPanel.
Now let's learn how to create a custom error page.
1) Scroll down.
2) Click the Error Pages link.
There are several different error pages you can customize. In this tutorial, we're going to customize the 404 error page.
3) Click the 404 link.
This is where you create your custom error page. You can include one or more tags to further customize the page.
You can also use html tags in your page, this making it easier to match the look of your error page to the rest of your website.
Now let's create our custom 404 error page.
4) (Enter your error text into the box.)
Let's use the Requested URL tag. (Type "is unavailable" after the tag.)
5) Scroll down.
6) Click the Save button.
Your custom 404 error page has been created.
7) Click the Go Back link.
You can customize any of the other listed error pages as well, but don't have to if you don't want. All accounts come preset with standard error pages.
This is the end of the tutorial. You can always return to custom error pages to edit existing error pages, or customize different ones.
